Our Story
Where the game meets the community.
Dead Man's Hand started the way most great things do — a handful of players who were tired of the same old experience. Tired of toxic squads, solo-focused rosters, and servers where nobody talked. We wanted something different: a home for people who actually want to play Squad the way it was designed.
The name comes from the legendary poker hand — Aces and Eights. It's a hand that carries weight. History. A story. That's what we wanted this community to be: something that means something to the people who are part of it.
Today DMH runs an active server, hosts regular events, and maintains a community that spans hundreds of players. New and experienced alike. We don't ask for perfection — we ask for effort, respect, and a working mic.
First Squad community where I felt like people actually wanted me to improve instead of just getting mad at me for making mistakes.
The admins are actually on and paying attention. Rare. I've been on servers where someone TKs you three times and nothing happens — not here.
I came for the Squad server, I stayed for the Discord. The community outside the game is just as good as the game itself.
It's the kind of server where if you're trying to do a logi run, someone will actually protect you. Communication is just the standard here.
Never felt like an outsider even when I was brand new. The community makes you feel like you belong at the table from day one.
These aren't just rules — they're the values that make DMH what it is. Every player who sits at this table agrees to hold them.
Treat every player at the table the way you'd want to be treated. That's the floor, not the ceiling.
Squad rewards teamwork, coordination, and role fulfilment. Play your position. Communicate. Win together.
New players are an asset, not a burden. Every veteran was a new player once. Help, don't haunt.
Rules apply equally. Admins are held to the same standard as everyone else. No favourites, no exceptions.
